The value of this award depends on whether both arms are lost (£158,000 - £197,000) or just one arm.  If one arm is lost, the award varies depending on whether amputation occurs at the shoulder (not less than £90,000), above the elbow (£72,000 - £86,000) or below the elbow (£63,000 - £72,000).

Other Arm Injuries:

These types of injuries vary from "Severe" (£63,000 - £86,000) which means that although the arm was not amputated, "the injured person is little better off" than if it had been, to "Simple Fractures" (£4,350 - £12,600).
