Hands, Fingers

The loss of a hand is considered almost as severe as the loss of the whole arm and awards are not far short of those for arms.  The range of awards varies from "total or effective loss of both hands" (£90,000 - £129,000), to "trivial thumb injuries" (up to £1,400).  There are many steps in between these two extremes.
